Here are some fun ideas for you and the family to have a fun spring break that won't break the bank! I like to plan each day with a fun theme that the kids can enjoy all day. Here are some theme days you can do over spring break or summer!
Scavenger Hunts around the house. You can download these on Etsy, print them and hide them around the house or make your own. I like to make these a little hard and split the kids up. You can color coordinate per team so no one mixes up the hints.
Baking day. Have the kids bake a couple recipes for the day. They can also make treats for friends and family and drop them off!
DIY pizza party. Go to the grocery store with the kids and teach them how to pick out all the things needed to to make pizza! Have them wash and prep all the ingredients. They can each make their own dough. Then make the pizzas and enjoy! We like to make ours in the oven and the BBQ and then have blind tastings to vote who makes the best!
Fort Fun. Grab all the sheets, blankets and pillows in the house and using chairs and tables, make the biggest for you can! You can all watch movies in there and the kids can spend the night in their fort!
Movie Night. Set your living room up like a movie theater with a full snack station! Let each kid pick a movie and everyone hang out and watch movies!
Local Adventures. Take the kids to museums, the zoo, parks, and other cook attraction within driving distance!
Crafts. Lay out crafts for the kids to make fun themed diy projects. You can do Under The Sea, Transportation, Tropical Beach, Jungle themes!
Cook with me. Grab kid friendly cooking items from amazon and let the kids make the weekly menu and cook with you! Teach them how to look up recipes and get the ingredients together!
Camping at home. Get out all your camping stuff and camp out in the backyard! Don’t forget the s’mores!
Bike Ride. If your town has a nice bike trail, take the kids out for a family bike ride and bring a picnic!
Hiking. Take the kids out for a fun hiking adventure and a nice family picnic!
Game night. Have the kids pick games for the whole family to play!
